The Central Nervous System in a human being (henceforth referred to as CNS) is a complex system of neurons which enables the human body to feel and respond to outside contact. It is made up of the spinal cord and of course, the brain. Here is a diagram of the CNS:The CNS is the main line between the brain and the Peripheral Nervous System (discussed in an another post). It can be thought of as the main power line relaying electricity from the power plant to all of the other lines which extend from the main line.
If impacted, the CNS affects almost all of the other parts of the human nervous system and can cause paralysis and other dysfunctions.
